NZD/USD suffers on RBNZ intervention concerns

FXStreet (Guatemala) - NZD/USD is trading at 0.8457, down -0.04% on the day, having posted a daily high at 0.8476 and low at 0.8457.

NZD/USD remains on the back foot with the RBNZ sighted as a risk with the potential of intervention form the Central Bank amidst an environment that is pro the greenback. Meanwhile, strategist at TD Securities looked to the docket and explained, “The main event is real retail sales on Thursday likely a decent increase of +1.0%/qtr for Q2 (mkt +1.0%) otherwise July home sales (sometime this week) offers the first taste of activity in Q3, but winter and home sales usually don’t mix”.

NZD/USD Levels

Current price is 0.8458, with resistance ahead at 0.8460 (Daily 200 SMA), 0.8462 (Daily Classic PP), 0.8462 and 0.8462. Next support to the downside can be found at 0.8457 (Daily Low), 0.8431 (Daily Classic S1), 0.8431 (Yesterday's Low), 0.8412 (Weekly Classic S1) and 0.8401 (Daily Classic S2).

AUD/USD comes with a negative bias
